Ingredients

pavakka/bittergourd – 2 medium
green chilly -3
thengakothu/coconut pieces – 1 cup
salt – a little more than usual
garlic,crushed – 4
shallots,crushed – 2
chilly powder – 1 teaspoon
curry leaves- a few
water -1/4 cup
oil – 2 teaspoon

Method

Step 1 Cover and cook the pavakka with green chillies, thengakothu, salt, and water.

Step 1

Step 2 Heat a pan with 2 teaspoon oil. Saute the crushed garlic and shallots for 2-3 minutes. Put in the curry leaves.

Step 2

Step 3 Add in the chilly powder and saute again for about 1 minute.

Step 3

Step 4 Add in the cooked pavakka and saute for 3-4 minutes.

Step 4

Serve with Rice.
