A fast,easy, and, very tasty dish.
shrimp – 1 1/2 pounds
coconut,grated – 1 cup
garlic,crushed – 2
green chilly, split lengthwise – 2
salt – to taste
corriander powder – 1 teaspoon
kashmiri chilly powder – 1/4 teaspoon
turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
oil – 3 tablespoons
mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
dried red chillies- 2
curry leaves – a few
Step 1 Combine the coconut,garlic,green chilly,salt,corriander powder, kashmiri chilly powder, and turmeric powder in a bowl with about less than 1/4 cup water to make a moist ball. Set aside.
Step 2 In a wok heat the oil over medium -high heat. Add the mustard seeds, once it has pops,toss in red chilies and curry leaves.
Step 3 Put in the shrimp and stir- fry for a minute.
Step 4 Stir in the coconut mixture and continue frying for another 3 minutes or until the shrimps are just cooked.
Serve hot with rice.
