Banana Cake

There is a stage when bananas pass beyond maturity:) that is become overripe and suddenly a thought comes in our mind as to what to do next????????

Today, I came across such a situation and next what I did is make this delicious Banana Cake.

Banana Cake

Bake – 40 minutes Cool -1 hour


all-purpose flour – 1 1/4 cups
baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon
baking soda – 3/4 teaspoon
sugar- little less than 3/4 cup
salt – 1/2 teaspoon
ripe bananas, mashed – 3/4 cup ( 2 medium)
butter – 1/4 cup
egg – 1
yogurt/curd – 1/4 cup
nuts -1/3 cup


Step 1 Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom and sides of an 8-inch round pan with butter, and lightly flour.


Step 2 Mash the bananas.


Step 3 In large bowl,beat all ingredients except nuts on low for 30 seconds,scraping bowl constantly.Beat on high speed 3 minutes.


Step 4 Stir in nuts.


Step 5 Pour into pan. Bake for 40 minutes. Let cool for an hour.
