This was one of the 4’O clock snack which was made at home. I never used to like this in my small ages, but it was a favourite of my sister.
It may be served at any time with a variety of toppings including jam, fruit, syrup.

all-purpose flour/maida – 1/2 cup
egg – 1
milk – 1/2 cup
salt – to taste
oil- 1/2 tsp (to fry)

for the syrup
sugar – 1/4 cup
water – 1/4 cup

Step 1 Prepare the sugar syrup by melting the sugar in little water till brown, and then adding the remaining water. Has to be careful while adding the remaining water.Keep it aside.

Step 2  In a large bowl, sift together the flour, and salt. Pour in the milk, and egg. Mix until smooth, can use a beater.

Step 3 Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium high heat. Pour the batter onto the pan, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides.

Step 4 As you prepare the next ones, drop off the already made pancakes in the sugar syrup.
