baking soda – 1/8 teaspoon
salt – 1/4 teaspoon
unsalted butter, room temperature – 1/4 cup
granulated white sugar – 1/2 cup
egg, room temperature – 1
pure vanilla extract – 3/4 teaspoon
plain yogurt, room temperature – 1/6 cup
milk, room temperature – 1/2 cup
Step 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2 In a heatproof bowl, placed over a saucepan of simmering water, melt the chocolate. Remove from heat and set aside to cool to room temperature.
Step 4 Beat the butter and sugar until smooth with an electric mixer, until the mixture is light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
Step 5 Add egg, beat well. Beat in the vanilla extract and yogurt.
Step 6 Add the flour mixture and the milk to the batter,alternatively.
Step 7 Divide the batter into 2 parts, where one part is the vanilla batter which is equal to the vanilla + chocolate batter.
Step 8 By alternating spoonfuls of vanilla batter with the chocolate batter fill the pan .
Step 9 Next,with the end of a knife, gently draw swirls through the batter to marbleize it. Don’t over mix.
Step 10 Bake for 38 mins. in the preheated oven.
