1. vendakka ,cut thinly in rounds marinated with turmeric powder,salt and fried -1/2 cup
2. yogurt,beaten – 1 cup
sugar – 1/4 -1/2 tsp
3. coconut ,grinded – 1 tsp
4. oil – 1/2 tsp
5. red chilly,dried – 4
mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
jeerakam – 1/4 tsp
6. salt – as per taste
mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
shallots,chopped – 1
red chilly dried – 1
oil- 1/2 tsp
Fry the items mentioned under no.5 seperately and grind it.
Put enough salt and keep it aside.
Refrigerate together the item mentioned under no.2 and 3.
In a bowl, pour in the beated yogurt and the mixture and stir it and keep it aside.
To garnish, heat oil in a pan, splutter the mustard seeds. Then add in the shallots, saute for 4-5 mins. and finally add the red chilly and fry for another 1 min. or so.
Just before using this pachadi ,sprinkle the fried vendakka.
