Puttu is another common breakfast in Kerala. It is made with rice flour and coconut. Chicken curry and chickpeas curry or kadala curry are the most used side dishes. Its preparation is simple. The success of a puttu is in the quantity of water we use. The water should just be optimum. By optimum what I mean is that we should be able to hold the rice flour together in our palms. It should not break off. It is made with puttu steamer or cheratta puttu kutty.

Add a fist full of grated coconut in the puttu maker and then add the rice flour. This is done till the top of the cylindrical shape is reached.Then keep the same to cook for almost 10-15 min.Repeat the same procedure.
